While you may have identified past traumas, unhealthy patterns, and triggers impacting your daily life, despite significant time spent in therapy, you don't feel you've made substantial progress towards a healthier, more fulfilling way of living. Even though you’re able to understand and intellectualize these things, your mind and body still react as if they are still in survival mode. Now, you're ready to make a profound shift through experiencing a deeper, somatically based approach.
Maybe you've been thinking about doing therapy every week, but your busy schedule makes it seem like a hassle instead of something helpful. Plus, the idea of searching for a good fit, potentially ending up on a wait list or not finding an ideal weekly time slot is holding you back.
Or perhaps you really need a lot of support right now, and you don't want to wait for months or years in the usual traditional weekly therapy routine to start feeling better. If you're new to therapy, or on a break from regular therapy sessions, you might just prefer a more concentrated approach to target some of your issues.
Now, more than ever, we need more access, options and flexibility when it comes to healing from trauma. Intensives are a great option for next level healing when the traditional model doesn't align.
EMDR Intensives are a potent and powerful way to accelerate the healing you experience in typical weekly EMDR sessions. These intensives provide an opportunity to address your symptoms, triggers and core trauma wounds in a more concentrated and focused manner, free from the usual time constraints of a 50-minute session. Essentially, they help you feel better, faster. Alchemy Creative Arts Therapy offers 3-hour or 6-hour EMDR Intensives which can be repeated as needed to reach your desired outcome.
This intensive format is designed for the person wanting to dig deep into their healing journey and move past their limiting beliefs. The person who wants major transformation and to release guilt, shame, and self-criticism. The structured, intensive approach also expedites the healing process in ways that are not possible in talk therapy alone. The work can be intense, but the results are so worth it.
and so much more...
We will initially meet for a Pre-Intensive Interview to establish the goals for our time together. During this interview, we will discuss your current life circumstances, stressors and triggers, your support system and current coping mechanisms for dealing with overwhelming emotions and sensations. We will also explore what situations or areas in your life you wish to seek relief from, including core wounds, traumas, and limiting beliefs. Additionally, we will identify areas where you seek healing, growth, or a significant step forward.
During the Intensive, you will undergo both healing and processing of the pain and trauma you've experienced, as well as reconnect with more positive memories, self-beliefs, and feelings. Employing the deep-level brain and body processing of EMDR, we will tailor the experience to your unique needs, determining the approach that works best for you. EMDR is a somatic approach itself, but we can also integrate parts work (IFS), art therapy, or spiritual practices into our intensive session to further support your healing and nervous system. Your life stage and goals will shape our focus, whether on past experiences, current challenges, or future aspirations. This ensures a unique approach tailored to you.
After the EMDR Intensive, we will reconvene for a Post-Intensive Interview to debrief, integrate, and create a crystal-clear plan for moving forward with your new insights and transformation, so that you can continue to live your most fulfilling life possible.

A 3 hour intensive is a great way to break through a major hurdle or tackle smaller roadblocks in just 3 hours. This focused intensive dives deep into one core issue, offering substantial progress and a clear path forward. Repeat as needed for lasting transformation.
The 6 hour intensive is your best bet for long-standing, repeating patterns that you'd like to heal from. This intensive tackles the core of past wounds, offering significant progress and lasting change - a shortcut to healing after years of struggle.
Starting at $3000
In regular weekly therapy you spend time catching up on the week and wrapping the session up at the end, while leaving only 25-35 minutes to actually dig into an issue with EMDR.
Seems straightforward, right? Around $1,000 per month for 4 sessions. But life happens: new stuff pops up, processing takes time, and focus can shift. So, while you might be in therapy for months, you may not fully address that initial stressor.
The intensive option allows for a quick check in after a pre-intensive interview followed by 2-4 HOURS of focused EMDR processing, potentially tackling multiple issues.
You get faster results for $1,500-$3,000 depending which option is best. This format packs in the work of several regular sessions, potentially leading to less therapy overall. Plus you feel better faster, experiencing positive changes sooner so you can get back to your life!
It's promising! Studies show that EMDR intensive therapy can be really effective, especially for PTSD. In some cases, people have even overcome their condition completely after an intensive program.
It's safe. As long as you're working with a trained professional, EMDR is generally a safe way to heal. Intensive formats are also well-tolerated, meaning most people find them manageable.
It's faster. Compared to regular therapy sessions spread out over weeks, intensive EMDR can potentially help you feel better sooner by tackling your issues more directly.
